WIKI AND THE 2008 SOUTH OSSETIA WAR
Belmont Club does and excellent analysis of the fight thus far. Must read.
But digging through his comments, I find the wiki entry on the 2008 South Ossetia War.
Is it accurate? Probably not; I'm sure folks from both sides are battling in the background. But as a source of raw open source intel, it is fantastic. We've seen this before in the Israel/Hezbollah War, this attempt by both sides to massage the message, but watching the phenomena is fascinating.
At heart, war is a method of communication. Seeing both sides leverage the full spectrum is amazing.
That said, I am not neutral. Again, my best to the Georgians: maneuver well, and sic semper thugs.
